Track Talk

3/6/2010 Setting the record Straight.

To keep the Racing family Up- Dated; I'm in the progress of interviewing potential Promoters or Promoter to actively run the Asphalt Series in 2011 and beyond. I'm starting now so hopefully by the middle of 2010 season, I'll be able to make a statement.

I have started  to meet and talk to some regional promoters and to many local people to see what will and won't work to make this transaction the best for the future of Twin State Speedway. I'll continue to do this and hopefully within the next couple of weeks I'll have a group meeting to get positive input on this decision.

Whether this is better as a one person or as a group similar to what happened in the 70's with a group called CODA (Claremont Owners & Drivers Assoc.) The Focus will be on keeping racing in Claremont N.H. for years to come.

Twin State Speedway is what I would call very financially stable with a long list of up-grades to the track over the last six years and more to be completed by the end of  the 2010 season.

Twin State Speedway has  three separate racing arenas:

Asphalt Series/ Mud Series/ Karting series

Twin State Speedway will continue with this format.

With Archie Archambault promoting the Karting Series which is in place for 2010 and beyond. He comes with knowledge and experience in the Karting racing business and is a great asset for Twin State Speedway.

The Mud Series will continue be promoted by me.

What is Dennis going to Do?

Plans are in the works to purchase abutting land for a campground & a new Entry Road onto Main St. in the very near future. I feel that this would be a valuable addition to our racing facility.

Thank You for your Support

   Dennis

  2/10/010        Attention Wildcat/Enduro Teams;

There has been a rules update for tires 2/09/10 for your division. Please check your rules, should read 60 also. These are the rules we will be using in 2010. We suggest you print them off the web and familiarize yourself with them.

1/23/2010    Our Open meeting today work out great. Thanks to my Staff and all the Race Teams that came, Now I know 2010 race season will have growth, 4 new Rookie Modified Drivers alone today and I know about two others, great talk in all the other classes also. Our new Redneck Enduro Class, what a response to this Grass Root Program -  I just want to say again. - Thank You

1/7/2010  Our 2010 meeting with the Wildcat Enduro Tuesday Night 1/5/2010 was well attended. This meeting proved to me the true support that Twin State Speedway has from this Class. Rules were discussed in length, in the end - Same as 2009 with enforcement. One of the topics was for the Wildcats to have 2 practices a Night, 2010 Race Director Dick LaPlant.

Our new class for 2010 was introduced-Redneck Enduro. This will be a stock/spec class truly with the word STOCK in play.(Go on Rules link for more information) Also it was announced that both  Enduros will race every other week, but if there is a week that gets rained out, it would be made-up the next Friday Night. This will also hold true for the Redneck Class. For 2010 the Weekly pay-off will remain the same with NO entry fees for either class. The wildcat 1st point Race will be April 30th at 7:30 and the Redneck Enduro will kick off May 7th.

1/2/2010    2010!!!!Keeping our Racers & Fans up-dated.  I'm very   please to have so many that have stop at the track to keep up with the improvements. Last Sunday (12/27/2009) we finish grading around the new flag stand for the Karting Series & Back Stretch Flagger in the Asphalt Series.

Twin State Speedway has install over 5000 New Anodized Aluminum  seats in the grandstands in the last 3 years with only three rolls of wood style ones left, this week I just order the Aluminum to finish all the Grandstand seats to aluminum, now with all new concrete stairs and walkways, this will make our grandstands seating to be clean and safe for our race fans.

Sponsorship at all 3 Series Events are coming in Great, in fact, I'm working on a 100 lap Late Model race on July 16th, 2 weeks before our ACT tour race. 1st place pay-off of over $2500!!  I hope to make the Sponsor's name announcement soon.

Last year our Late Model Drivers put on a 1st class show running with the ACT Tour Stars and this race will be a Great Practice for the ACT Race on July 30, 2010. Maybe I'll invite Twin State Speedway's friend - Uncle Tom (Curly) to come down to be the Coach that Night.

I have order the 5 New 200cc ATVs that will given away free to a lucky fan every 4th race in the Asphalt Series. Our 50/50 will start at $500 each week in the Asphalt Series!!! June 4th  & Aug 6th will feature a 3 Race Weekend Event at Twin State Speedway with a 3 Race Grandstand Ticket that will Cost you $15!!!   Bring your Camper/Tent/Sleeping Bag and your Tooth Brush for a Racing Weekend at Twin State Speedway.

*Friday Asphalt Series  @ 7:30

*Saturday Mud Bogg Series @ noon

*Sunday Karting Series @ 12:30
