Divisions
Modifieds
This division is
bringing the Modifieds back to the weekly racing program at T.S.S. at an
affordable dollar. This modified car has the same appearance as its big
sisters and brothers, the true open modified car that races on the many
tours and divisions through New England. The rules limit the engine,
carburetor, transmission, clutch, shocks and exhaust. T.S.S. has proved that
an affordable package opens the doors for anyone who may want to drive a modified
car.
The minimum car weight before any race is 2593 lbs. with 15
inch tires.

Late Models
These cars are
designed with the serious racer in mind. These cars are sophisticated
purpose built tube chassis race cars designed to provide great performance
and close racing while keeping the racing affordable for the racers.
The Late Models are also the pioneers of our Crate Motor program, which is
designed to put all the teams on a level playing field while keeping the
engine costs down compared to "pro" built motors.
This division uses
the same rules as the popular A.C.T. Late Model Tour. There are many race
teams in New England with these cars. They run on 8 inch Goodyear Slicks and
ZZ4 Crate Motors. Close competition is the normal for these cars.

Super Streets
The ultra competitive Super Street Division is an affordable way for
teams to have "real race cars" on a budget. Cost controls on the various
engine and chassis parts have proved to keep teams competitive and
successful for several years with the same cars! These cars are based on
production rear wheel drive cars from the 1980's and feature many
modifications to aid in the strength, handling and look of these fast
machines.

Limited Sportsman
Formerly Strictly Stock
The Entry-Level V8 Strictly Stock are another group that is growing at T.S.S.
These cars are Stock, as manufactured, American made sedans from the 1980's
with very little modifications other than roll cages and other safety
equipment. Exciting and unpredictable, the Strictly Stocks provide a
very inexpensive way for the teams to go racing in a rear wheel drive, V8
racing class. Many young drivers choose this class as a learning step
in their progress towards racing in the Super Streets, Late Models, and the
Modifieds.

Wild Cats
The Ultimate bargain-racer, the Wild Cat class has proved to be
wildly successful. Following the outline of its V8 powered big brother, the
Wild Cat plan is simple: STOCK! These cars are off the street 4
cylinder cars with zero performance modifications what so ever. Costs
are kept to a minimum with carefully written rules.
